About The Position

This is an onsite position in Springfield, OH and not eligible for work from home. This job handles the dispositioning of insurance claim checks on behalf of our financial institution clients, directly impacting the timeliness and accuracy of property damage claims. This role requires proven ability to manage deadlines and meet quality standards with accuracy and consistent attention to detail. It also requires the use of good judgment to solve problems and make business-appropriate decisions consistent with Assurant procedures and best practices. The Shared Services Specialist has a direct impact on customer satisfaction and confidence through the timeliness and accuracy of their work and the quality provided.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 1 year of data entry experience.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Basic knowledge of computers and proficiency with Microsoft office including Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good oral and written communication skills and professional etiquette.

Nice To Haves

• 1 year experience in insurance, banking, finance, mortgage servicing, or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for performing job requirements including processing insurance claim checks, maintenance, or research.
• May perform monetary functional transactions such as posting deposits to client servicing system.
• Make appropriate updates to client database in order to meet regulatory obligation.
• Manage time to handle multiple demands and competing priorities.
• May work in multi-functional areas with multiple clients.
• Handle other duties and projects as requested on business needs.
• Maintain and update procedure knowledge on an ongoing basis and attend workshops, seminars, and other training sessions as appropriate.
