About The Position

Our Shared Living Program is seeking an individual to work alongside a current Shared Living Provider in their home, offering support to an individual with additional needs. This is a part-time position, up to 16 hours per week. With a reputation built on "going the distance," Spurwink has the experience and clinical expertise to help providers, staff and individuals experience success.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Minimum of High school diploma or G.E.D
Currently have or achieve Direct Support Certification-provided by Spurwink.
Currently have or achieve CPR/First Aid Certification-provided by Spurwink.
Shared Living Medication Course or CRMA-provided by Spurwink.
All applicants must maintain a current driver's license and a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with individuals with autism and developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Alongside the Shared Living Provider, the Shared Living Support Worker will offer direct support to the individual in the home and in accessing their community, as outlined in the individual's Person-Centered Plan.
Ensure health and safety needs of the individual are met at all times.
Assist with medical management and administering medications.
Provide direct support, as needed with personal care needs and development of daily living skills.
