As a SharePoint Administrator Expert (SME), the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful supporting the mission of US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM). You will provide Microsoft SharePoint 2019 administrator support for a large customer within the DoD community. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the deployment and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint 2019 architectures, assisting with SharePoint farm upgrades and deployments, and providing critical problem solving and advanced troubleshooting. You will also be involved in the design and implementation of methods, procedures, and systems to improve the processing and flow of information within the organization.

  • Provide Microsoft SharePoint 2019 administrator support.
  • Assist in the deployment and maintenance of Microsoft SharePoint 2019 architectures.
  • Assist with SharePoint farm upgrades and deployments.
  • Administer Windows Servers, Active Directory including ADFS, DNS, SMTP, Network Load Balancing, Windows Firewall, Event Viewer Performance Monitoring and PowerShell scripting.
  • Configure and maintain SharePoint Enterprise search, index configurations, and scheduling.
  • Support Microsoft SQL Server in a SharePoint environment.
  • Perform critical problem solving and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Plan for and install service packs, hotfixes, updates and patches.
  • Perform data retrieval and backup procedures.
  • Ensure sufficient storage space by performing clean-ups and archiving data.
  • Review usage and activity reports and adjust systems for optimized user experiences.
  • Provide security operations or coordinate security operations functions.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of methods, procedures, and systems.
  • Develop workflows, automations and other powerapps.
  • Analyze user needs to determine functional requirements.
  • Generate recommendations in the form of technical briefings and reports.
  • Identify emerging relevant technologies.
  • Write and update project documentation.
  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • High School Diploma/GED with 12 years of related experience, or Associate's Degree with 10 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of experience.
  • TS/SCI clearance required.
  • Knowledge/experience of Army command structures.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize commitments, and manage time effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of Information Assurance practices and principles.
  • Experience with DoD 8570.01-M IAT Level II/8140 Computing Environment Certification.
  • MCSA Windows Server 2019, Azure Administrator Fundamentals, or equivalent.
