About The Position

As a Shahbaz, you’ll play a vital role in protecting, sustaining, and nurturing the lives of the elders in our care. This unique position goes beyond traditional caregiving—it’s about building meaningful relationships and supporting a rich, dignified elderhood. Shahbazim provide compassionate assistance with activities of daily living, while also creating a warm, home-like environment through cooking, housekeeping, laundry, and more. Your care helps foster independence, respect, and a high quality of life for each elder. In this role, you’ll be part of a self-managed team, working collaboratively to coordinate care and ensure the smooth daily operation of the household. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current certification as a Nurse Aide in the State of Michigan.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare setting, caregiver role preferably.
  • Position requires the ability to lift and move objects weighting up to 35 pounds without assistance.
  • Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Personalized Resident Care: Support elders with daily living activities like bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and mobility, all while promoting their autonomy, dignity, and well-being.
  • Engagement & Companionship: Lead meaningful, personalized activities that reflect each resident’s preferences and life story. Build genuine relationships that enrich daily life.
  • Home Environment Support: Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home by assisting with housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation based on resident needs and preferences.
  • Communication & Collaboration: Work closely with nursing and clinical teams to follow care plans, report changes in condition, and ensure seamless, person-centered care.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Accurately chart care and follow safety, confidentiality, and infection control protocols while staying current through ongoing training and education.
