About The Position

The Shahbaz provides personalized care and support to residents, including assistance with daily living activities, cooking, laundry, and housekeeping, while promoting a high quality of life in a self-managed team environment.

Requirements

• Current certification as a Nurse Aide in the State of Michigan.
• Previous experience in a healthcare setting, caregiver role preferably.
• Position requires the ability to lift and move objects, weighing up to 35 pounds without assistance.
• Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, PointClickCare (PCC) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, eating) and monitor health status.
• Aid in mobility and transfers, ensuring safety.
• Provide individualized, meaningful activities based on resident preferences.
• Respect autonomy and dignity through clear, sensitive communication.
• Prepare meals/snacks and follow care plans with nursing staff.
• Offer emotional support, companionship, and engage in conversation.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Respond promptly to resident requests and needs.
• Follow infection control protocols to ensure safety.
• Stay updated on training, certification, and best practices.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold residents' rights and dignity.
• Collaborate with the Clinical Support Team on resident status and care.
• Accurately document care and observations in medical records and eMAR.

Benefits

• Pay range: $21.25 - $23.29 .22/hr. (this rate is inclusive of the $3.40/hr. Michigan Skilled Nursing Facility Direct Care Worker Pass-Through approved rate; current approval through September 30, 2025)
