The Shag driver is a valued team member who operates trucks with trailers for transportation of agricultural materials and merchandise on and off the Albaugh campus. Valid CDL license required.Principal Duties & Responsibilities Responsible for moving trailers within the plant premises Position trailers so they are correctly positioned for loading and unloading to improve efficiency. Role requires strong driving skills, coordination and awareness of safety procedures. Work within a confined area. Follow all safety regulations for the individual as well as other employees, Perform routine checks on shag trucks. Safely move freight within plant yard. Ensure trailers are positioned correctly for loading and unloading, which is crucial for the smooth operation of the facility. Maintaining DOT Federal and State qualifications and regulations while moving transport equipment between buildings Conduct pre-trip inspections on shag trucks to ensure safe working order. Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. Collaborate with team members to achieve operational goals. Always ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one’s co-workers without exception. Shows up on time, reliably completes tasks by the deadline, and adapts to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimal supervision. Works well with others to meet team goals and adjust to significant changes. Active, physical role that includes operating a forklift. Other duties as assigned.
