About The Position
The Nurse Shadow position offered by The McGuire Group and Absolut Care provides students in their PN2 semester of an LPN nursing program with a paid learning opportunity. This role involves shadowing a licensed nurse (RN or LPN) in a clinical environment to observe and learn their day-to-day tasks and communication skills while working with residents/patients. It is distinct from clinical rotations, focusing purely on observation and knowledge building without direct patient care, ensuring no interference with the nurse's daily duties.

Responsibilities
- Observe and shadow assigned LPN or RN in their daily duties
- Observe patient status and responses
- Document and report observations to preceptor
- Reviews temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect variances from normal and reports observations to preceptor
- Obtain supplies as requested
