About The Position

The Class Representative serves as the direct voice of their respective class within the Student Government Association. This position advocates for the needs, concerns, and ideas of their class while fostering engagement and communication between students and SGA leadership. The Class Representative works to enhance class unity, promote participation in campus initiatives, and ensure that student perspectives inform decision-making. The SGA Class Representatives are responsible for: Upholding and enforcing the provisions of the Constitution Attend all meetings of the Student Government Association Represent their class by bringing ideas, thoughts, and proposals to the SGA General Assembly Meetings

Requirements

• Undergraduate student currently enrolled at Mount St. Joseph University
• Must maintain and uphold a 2.5 GPA per semester
• Must be in good standing with Mount St. Joseph University

• Well organized, punctual, and reliable
• The ability to communicate sensitively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the University

Responsibilities

• Regular participation in the SGA General Assembly and organization representative meetings.
• Maintain good academic and social standing with the university as defined by the MSJ student handbook
• Serve/Assist on at least one committee per semester
• Plan/Assist/Execute at least one SGA event per semester
• Accurately represent the thoughts and ideas of their respective class
• Serve as a voting member on finances
