Job Summary St. Francis Borgia High School is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to support its mission by planning, guiding, and evaluating student learning within the framework of the school’s Catholic philosophy, curriculum, and academic standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Education required
  • Valid teaching certification required
  • Strong knowledge of high school science content
  • Effective communication and classroom management skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff
  • Commitment to supporting a Catholic school environment

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging science lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
  • Deliver effective instruction and assess student learning and performance
  • Evaluate and adapt instructional materials for student needs and grade appropriateness
  • Maintain a positive, organized, and faith-centered classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success
  • Foster students’ intellectual, social, and faith development
  • Monitor and communicate student progress regularly
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development
