Job Summary St. Francis Borgia High School is seeking a dedicated Science Teacher to support its mission by planning, guiding, and evaluating student learning within the framework of the school’s Catholic philosophy, curriculum, and academic standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science or Education required
- Valid teaching certification required
- Strong knowledge of high school science content
- Effective communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff
- Commitment to supporting a Catholic school environment
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging science lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Deliver effective instruction and assess student learning and performance
- Evaluate and adapt instructional materials for student needs and grade appropriateness
- Maintain a positive, organized, and faith-centered classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success
- Foster students’ intellectual, social, and faith development
- Monitor and communicate student progress regularly
- Participate in school activities, meetings, and professional development
