About The Position

The Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) will provide timely, non-judgmental, compassionate care to the sexual assault victim. The SANE exam may include a medical-forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation, and referrals for appropriate medical and psychological follow-up, support and participation in legal proceedings. Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing- BSN preferred
• Valid and Current Texas RN license.
• Current SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) certification from the Texas Attorney General office or Currently in-progress of certification and obtained within 6 months of hire
• Current TNCC
• Two years of Emergency Department or Acute Care Experience, preferred
