Summary of Position: The Sewing Operator operates and maintains Adler and Miller Weld Master industrial sewing machines to assemble fabric for ducting production.

Requirements

  • Must be available to work 1st shift 5:30am-2:30pm
  • Proficiency in reading gauges, using tape measures, and read specifications
  • High attention to detail
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Active listening skills
  • Prolonged standing, walking, stooping, bending, lifting – 100% daily (subject to change daily)
  • Assist in lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to learn and think quickly

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time
  • Regularly required to talk and listen; sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms
  • Must be able to meet the physical demands typical in a warehouse environment including but not limited to grasping and fine manipulations with hands, reaching, squatting, climbing, activities working around moving machinery, exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity, exposure to light dust and fumes.
  • Commitment to work additional hours as needed
  • High school diploma or GED (required)

Nice To Haves

  • Manufacturing experience (highly preferred but not required)
  • 2+ years industrial sewing (Preferred but required)
  • Bilingual Spanish & English (Preferred but not required)
