See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality: Position Overview : Responsible for performing a variety of sewing tasks to fabricate and assemble boat components. This role involves working with various materials, including vinyl, clear vinyl, and carpet, to produce high-quality products that meet manufacturing specifications. Essential Functions : Operate industrial sewing machines to sew and assemble boat components, ensuring precision and quality. Cut, fit, and handle various fabrics and materials, including vinyl, clear vinyl, and carpet. Follow patterns and measurements accurately to maintain consistency in the final product. Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards. Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in sewing or upholstery, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in operating industrial sewing machines and handling various fabrics, including vinyl and carpet.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality workmanship and adherence to patterns and measurements.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, lift and move materials, and handle repetitive tasks.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and supervisors.
  • Maintain cleanliness, ensure safety compliance to include PPE adherence, safety policy adherence, and safe behaviors and conditions.
  • Must possess the desire and ambition to always work safely and report all hazards to their supervisor immediately.
  • Must understand basic terminology such as OSHA, DEP, and other regulatory agencies.
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment where designated, including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, etc.
