  • Responsible for selecting all of the equipment needed for the sewing process, which includes setting up the machine and its peripherals, and using the tools correctly.
  • Operators are also responsible for monitoring machine operation, which can include fixing attachments like needles, threads, pattern plates or cutting blades.
  • Responsible for inspecting the product after it has been rendered.
  • Keeping record of the orders processed.
  • Setting apart quality passed garments.
  • Setting apart defective or lower-quality garments for correction or disposal.
  • Ensuring that textile parts are in correct sequences and confirming that the color lots and textile patterns match.
  • Should be able to work on sewing machines in a manufacturing environment.
  • Should have good organizational skills for sorting and cutting textile parts for joining.
  • Should have high hand dexterity to operate sewing machines.
  • Should have some interpersonal skills.
  • Should have initiative in getting the job done.
  • A high school diploma is sufficient for this position.
  • Past experience in manufacturing sewing operations is beneficial.
