Requirements
- Hoisting License is required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience operating heavy equipment, preferably in water and sewer utility work.
- Knowledge of water and wastewater systems, materials, and repair methods
- Strong understanding of job site safety practices
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions and perform physical labor
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, trenchers, and related machinery for water and sewer repair projects.
- Perform excavation, trenching, backfilling, and grading in accordance with project specifications
- Assist with installation, repair, and replacement of water mains, sewer lines, valves, hydrants, and related infrastructure
- Locate and protect existing underground utilities prior to and during excavation
- Follow all safety regulations, OSHA standards, and company policies
- Work closely with crew members, supervisors, and inspectors to complete projects efficiently
- Maintain accurate records of work performed when required
- Respond to emergency water and sewer repairs, including after-hours or on-call work as needed
