Requirements

  • Certification as a Pennsylvania Sewage Enforcement Officer.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in: soil testing, site planning, permit review & inspections, on-lot sewage system design, and planning module review.
  • Strong knowledge of the PA Sewage Facilities Act (Act 537) and 25 Pa. Code Chapters 71-73.
  • Experience in soil testing, percolation tests, and site evaluations.
  • Ability to review and evaluate sewage permit applications for regulatory and technical compliance.
  • Excellent organizational skills with meticulous recordkeeping and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites across the Lehigh Valley and surrounding areas.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Act 537 Plan preparation is a plus.
  • Preferred experience in construction, plumbing, soils, surveying, or environmental inspection; college-level coursework in environmental science, biology, geology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional SEO services to local municipalities.
  • Perform soil evaluations and system designs.
  • Review Planning Modules.
  • Contribute to long-range wastewater planning efforts.
  • Help communities make informed, sustainable infrastructure decisions.
