About The Position

The position is responsible for monitoring injection molding presses, assembling, imaging, and packing various completed and purchased components. The role requires adherence to production goals and quality standards while operating various equipment and machines.

Requirements

  • HS diploma or GED preferred, successful completion of 10th grade required.
  • Good math and dexterity.
  • Must be able to read and comprehend production documents in English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform job duties to achieve production goals.
  • Operate various equipment and machines as required to complete jobs.
  • Read and interpret work order documentation, blueprints, and customer specifications for each assigned job.
  • Operate plastic injection molding machines within job specifications to meet customer needs.
  • Perform to all standard operating procedures and cGMP’s (current good manufacturing practices).
  • Pack parts according to instructions given.
  • Lift and stack packed boxes onto skids up to 30 lbs in preparation for shipping.
  • Use hand tools and cutting equipment, such as knives and clippers, to trim gates and flash.
  • Ensure that all duties are consistent with quality standards, avoiding scrap and waste.
  • Communicate to Supervisor, Group Leader, Lead Operator, Quality or Process Technicians any problems or concerns to assure equipment is functioning at maximum efficiency.
  • Attend all training sessions, maintain necessary certifications, and be knowledgeable of all manufacturing requirements.
  • Inspect all parts to high quality standards.
  • Have working knowledge of required tools and be able to test parts according to customer specifications.
  • Multi-task and work successfully in a fast-paced environment, with strong attention to safety including dress code and PPE requirements.
  • Complete required paperwork (labor tickets, scrap tickets, reject sheets, etc.).
  • Assist in training other operators and demonstrate a positive attitude to support a team environment.
  • Maintain neatness and orderliness in the department and/or work station.
  • Clean work area at the end of each shift, including sweeping and disposal of empty boxes and unused work materials.
  • Work outside normal working hours, overtime, or alternate shifts to accommodate production needs when required.
  • Perform related duties as assigned.
