About The Position

JOB DESCRIPTION Position: Setup Tech Summary/Objective The setup tech position sets up plastic injection molds. Our facility has a wide range of machine types and sizes, as well as varying auxiliary equipment including robotics, conveyors, thermolators, etc. This position requires you to work with these different types of machinery during the setup of the mold. Essential Functions Sets up molds in 20 to 1,100 ton injection molding presses Works with manual and fully electronic control panels Sets up and programs auxiliary equipment Organizes and sets up workstations in manufacturing areas Works with supervision on setup productivity improvement projects Performs general housekeeping duties to keep your work area and the company neat and organized Follows all safety policies and procedures Is honest and respectful with all coworkers, vendors, suppliers and friends of the company Arrives to work on time and ready to work Performs all other duties as directed, requested or assigned by the supervisor Competencies Communication Decision Making Initiative Teamwork Technical Capacity Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. At times, fumes from burnt plastic may be present. The noise level in the work environment can be moderately loud. Physical Demands The employee is required to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time. It is possible the employee will need to stoop, kneel, or crouch down. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 35 pounds. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time, 2nd shift position. 2nd shift hours are: 2:45 pm – 11:15 pm. 40 hours per week. Travel No travel is expected for this position. The salary range for this position is: $20.00 - $28.00. This range reflects the base salary for this position.
