Requirements

• High School or equivalency diploma required.
• Entry level mechanical position with a minimum of one year (1) of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Employ strong interpersonal skills when interacting with others in the organization while promoting a positive environment.
• Maintain all machinery assigned to them in good running condition, correctly located and properly adjusted for scheduled production.
• Diagnose problems or faults of machines assigned to them and make all minor repairs to maintain production and minimize downtime.
• Know the channels for obtaining assistance.
• Have a general knowledge of the production equipment, its maintenance requirements, set up procedures and applications relating to the operations of assigned department.
• Know GMP regulations concerning housekeeping, recordkeeping, cleaning and sanitation procedures of all production and processing equipment assigned to them.
• Follow all safety regulations including wearing goggles, face shields, proper clothing, equipment lockout procedures, etc.
• Learn and improve skills for advancement.
• Work as an assistant, or under the direction of, other mechanics of a higher classification and the Lead Mechanic.
• Document machine operation through the use of downtime and/or preventative maintenance sheets on assigned equipment.
• Work Saturdays and overtime based on the needs of the business.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
