About The Position

The Lending Setup Desk Analyst will help execute the day-to-day operations of the Setup Desk, reporting to the Head of Operations. The Setup Desk at Valon Lending is responsible for preparing loan estimates/initial disclosures/redisclosures for Valon loan applicants, ordering third-party services required for each loan, and other duties associated with ensuring that loan applicants transition from the sales to the processing milestone smoothly.

Requirements

• 2+ years of mortgage originations experience
• Mortgage compliance knowledge is a plus
• Proven customer service skills
• Strong communicator with excellent writing abilities
• High integrity with strong ethical values
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and or projects simultaneously
• Team player with the ability to work effectively with cross-team members
• Eager to join a highly dynamic team and play a role in a high-growth, transformative project
• Minimum education requirement: High school diploma or GED equivalent required

Nice To Haves

• Experience with industry technology (e.g. DU, LP, LOS systems, CRM)
• Experience in a customer-facing customer service environment, ideally in the mortgage industry

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate Loan Estimates and deliver required disclosures to Valon loan applicants in compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Process loan dispositions in accordance with established compliance policies and procedures
• Order and manage third-party services essential to loan production, including appraisals, title work, and required verifications
• Coordinate the seamless transfer of loans from Sales to Processing to ensure a smooth and positive borrower experience
• Provide administrative support to Lending Management, including general Setup Desk responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned
