About The Position
The Settlement Specialist is responsible for processing Carrier settlements, supplemental billing, and revenue recognition. This role involves managing all pay processes including submitting invoices for payments, resolving discrepancies, and entering location into driver’s accounts. The specialist will update and reconcile reserve/security accounts, enter chargebacks consistent with Carrier contracts, and submit driver chargeback invoices for payment to Accounts Payable. Additionally, the role requires understanding and monitoring Carrier contracts, creating weekly reports such as settlement pay sheets and corrections reports, applying payables for Carriers, and making entries and adjustments for each location. The specialist will also scan payroll backup documents, make adjustments to settlement sheets if necessary, file trial balances and other documents as needed, and print trial balances while checking them against the settlements pay sheets each week.
