About The Position

The SLT Technician role at Sumeru Global Technologies involves assembling, verifying, and maintaining SLT engineering system setups. This position is crucial for performing initial troubleshooting of hardware-related failures and requires collaboration with engineering teams to debug issues. The technician will also be responsible for downloading test programs on Linux, testing computer chips, and summarizing data for engineering review.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of PC systems.
• Proficiency in assembling PC hardware.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office.
• Basic understanding of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Ability to perform daily activities including standing, walking, and lifting/pulling up to 40lbs.
• Self-motivated with strong technical and communication skills.
• Problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Organizational skills to maintain a neat work area.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, verify, and maintain SLT engineering system setups.
• Perform first level triage of setup and hardware related failures.
• Download test programs on Linux OS and test computer chips.
• Save and upload test results for review.
• Summarize data for engineering review.
• Collaborate with other engineering groups to debug common problems.
• Handle system hardware and chip pick-ups and deliveries across campus.
