About The Position

As the Set-Up Technician at Highland Packaging, you will be responsible for collaborating and contributing to the production environment within our manufacturing operations. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and strong work ethics, which are integral to our company culture. The position involves working hours from 5:00 pm to 5:00 am on a 4 days on, 4 days off schedule, located in Plant City, FL.

Requirements

• Previous manufacturing experience and/or training
• Ability to read and comprehend standard work instructions, math, and measuring
• Strong attendance record and punctuality
• High school diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Check on Job status on presses: Ink, paper, plates, dies, boxes (need 150 made at end of shift), acetate, and cores
• Demount and put away all jobs that are finished
• Open pallets of stock for Pressman
• Move pallets to the staging area when jobs are finished
• Keep up with the compactor and the compactor area cleaned
• Move blue bins when full
• Keep the press area clean, trash, pallets, plastic, etc.
• Check plates and dies, if cut, put in the plate room to remake, do not throw cut ones out
• Help Pressman with changeovers
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
