About The Position

The Set-up Technician performs machine and equipment changeovers, prepares equipment for production (i.e. molds, tooling, fixtures) and is actively responsible for facility-wide activities that result in continuous improvement at the changeover process.

Requirements

• Minimum of one-year stable and verifiable work history.
• Demonstrated mechanical capability and a minimum of two-years' experience in a technical related field required. Technical certificate preferred.
• High school diploma/GED required.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must have working knowledge of hand and small power tools.
• Must possess good communication skills to ensure that clear and concise information is communicated as required.
• Must be a self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Must be a good listener, having the ability to receive instructions over two-way radios, and other communication devices.
• Must be able to multi-task.
• Must be able to become certified on operating forklift, scissor lift snorkel lift and overhead crane.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in preparing machines for changeovers and mold preventative maintenance.
• Properly perform preventative maintenance and make repairs to ensure dependable and safe operation of machines and equipment.
• Proficient at troubleshooting and making repairs on all pertinent machines and auxiliary equipment to meet facility scrap and efficiency key measures.
• Performs changeovers for related equipment in a timely and efficient manner.
• Proficient in all safety and housekeeping requirements.
• Perform other related duties as required.
