Who we are looking for: We are a great company with great people, and we are looking for a Set Up Clerk, who will bring enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a servant heart to our team of top-tier mortgage professionals. This professional will work in a tight-knit, goal-oriented team where our Customers and Loan Officers can rely on them to ensure an accurate and timely closing process. In this exciting and dynamic role, we are looking for a Set Up Clerk who can drive amazing and deep relationships with our Loan Originators and Customers. This professional will partner with our team to assist our Originators and Customers through the loan process.

Requirements

  • Success in this job relies on your experience in processing mortgage loans and your understanding of the residential mortgage loan process from application to funding
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Teamwork and customer service a must
  • Self-motivated and energetic
  • Strong computer and technology related skills
  • Able to work independently and proactively, prioritizing workload and handle multiple tasks

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of FNMA, FHLMC, FHA, & VA underwriting guidelines a plus
  • Ability to independently calculate all types of self-employed income a plus
  • Jr. Mortgage Processing experience a plus
  • TRID knowledge a plus
  • Experience using LoanSoft LOS is a plus.
  • SalesForce experience and knowledge on working within a database a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ability to order and review all verification documents; insurance, title work, tax transcripts, verification of employment, verification of deposits, flood certifications, payoffs
  • Ability to assist in funding a minimum of 20 units per month while working towards the same units for the following month.
  • Ability to monitor and manage workflow to ensure timely closings
  • Maintain product knowledge and stay up to date on changes to market conditions
  • Ability to communicate with borrowers, operations staff, title companies, Realtors, etc., to expedite mortgage process.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to mortgage lending.
