About The Position

The purpose of this course is to introduce planning students to current issues in municipal finance in Canada and around the world, provide basic economic tools to analyze municipal public finance problems, and emphasize the important role that municipal finance plays in planning decisions.

Requirements

• A Ph.D. in Geography or a related field is required.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience teaching this or a similar course at the University level is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Preparing materials for lectures and class discussions
• Preparing course syllabi and selecting relevant readings
• Developing, administering, and marking course assignments, tests and exams
• Test/exam invigilation
• Holding regular office hours
• Planning and supervising the work of teaching assistants
