About The Position

The Department of Chemistry requires a sessional lecturer to deliver the in-person laboratories in CHM136H1 (Introductory Organic Chemistry I) during the 2026 Summer session. Duties include the responsibility of effectively coordinating in-person labs with all of the attendant organizational issues of laboratory preparation and delivery, supervision of lab demonstrators (teaching assistants), facilitating and marking laboratory tests and exams , submission of final laboratory grades, and holding office hours.

Requirements

  • A PhD in chemistry or a closely related field is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience lecturing and/or coordinating laboratories in organic chemistry at the university level will be preferred.
