Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years in a management position with 5 or more direct reports.
  • 2+ years within critical infrastructure equipment including Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) batteries, Generators, Electrical Switchgear, and non-destructive testing methodologies.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years leading field services teams performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, repair, and root cause analysis of critical infrastructure (generators, switch gear, bud-duct, UPS, and air handlers).
  • Level 3 Infra-Red (IR) Thermography Certification.
  • Demonstrated experience with Tier 4 Generator maintenance and operation.
  • Demonstrated experience with mission critical battery deployments and various chemistries.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of service technicians responsible for generator maintenance, repair, non-destructive testing on electrical equipment, and battery maintenance.
  • Drive equipment lifecycle management, including end-of-life planning and replacement strategies for critical power infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with maintenance scheduling teams to ensure 100% completion of required maintenance activities while minimizing impact to data center operations.
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects across various sites, including improvement initiatives from conception to completion.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and contract partners, ensuring adherence to SLAs and quality standards.
  • Effectively manage operational budgets and resource allocation across multiple programs.
  • Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement, implementing best practices and driving team development.
  • Perform rotational On-Call duties as the after-hours on-call Services Team Manager for the data centers in the region.
