The IT Service Management Office team has a great opportunity for a high energy ServiceNow Software Engineer who is passionate about being a part of a high performing team that builds, maintains and develops software that enables IT Service Management practices that drive great user and stakeholder experiences and productivity. This is a highly collaborative role, where you will assist in leading the work across the ITSM organization and the larger technology enterprise to improve existing practices and define and implement new and emerging ITSM strategies and solutions. This role requires strong strategic thinking, cross group collaboration and a drive to offer solutions to benefit the company as a whole. As a Senior ServiceNow Developer you will apply your extensive knowledge of ServiceNow to develop applications to deliver enterprise-wide business processes to our organization. The ideal candidate is a master of ServiceNow development and administration. This candidate possesses the skills and essential knowledge necessary to design and build applications and services as part of an agile development team. Working across the platform, this role delivers new functionality and innovative solutions, and is a lead contributor in the entire development life cycle. The ServiceNow software engineer is part of a larger team delivering IT Service Management practice governance and solutions to address and meet requirements of the larger organization, including industry specific audit requirements. Focus on translating specific business requirements into technically enhanced and executable processes that are ITIL based. You will get an opportunity to work closely with data and partner with internal teams as well as ITSM tools to continually drive feature and capability improvements. Requirements

  • 5+ years of development experience scripting/coding (JavaScript preferred)
  • 2-3+ years of ServiceNow development experience to include designing, creating and configuring business rules
  • Experience configuring core ServiceNow modules in an enterprise environment including the delegation of groups, modification of CMS, workflows, business rules, UI actions, UI policies, ACLs, dictionary, catalog items and updates of all other existing solutions requiring revisions
  • Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps and CI/CD implementation.
  • Experience in the SDLC methodology, Agile SCRUM, code development methodologies, test cases, test execution and deployment
  • Experience in ServiceNow’s ITSM modules, the CMDB and ServiceNow’s Common Service Data model (CSDM)
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of implementing ServiceNow Architecture
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of Scoped Applications Development in ServiceNow
  • Possess an in-depth knowledge of ServiceNow Scripting (JavaScript, Jelly)
  • Familiar with Service Oriented architecture and web services integration (SOAP, WSDL, REST)
  • Experience creating ServiceNow update sets, promoting and testing through multiple instances and into production
  • Comprehensive understanding of Service Management processes
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Technically savvy and able to design and build applications that meet business goals and objectives
  • Experience taking business requirements and converting them into ServiceNow platform capabilities
  • Self-motivated, creative problem-solver who can adapt to new technologies and evolving customer requirements

Responsibilities

  • Design / Develop ServiceNow Forms and Tables as well as Modules.
  • Develop under Scoped Applications working with ServiceNow Studio.
  • Develop Workflow / Flow Design where required to drive Approvals and Process Lifecycle.
  • Assist in developing systems integrations and process automation with External system REST APIs.
  • Design, create and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts and ACLs including advanced scripting of each (including CMS/Service Portal).
  • Support the standup, configuration and implementation of ServiceNow’s ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, and CSM modules.
  • Orchestrate and automate tasks in ServiceNow
  • Support re-engineering activities to move legacy ticketing and ITSM capabilities into ServiceNow
  • Design, create and configure Notifications, UI Pages, UI Macros, Script Includes, Formatters, etc. in ServiceNow.
  • Assist with design, creation and cataloging of business process flows
  • Work with product owners/stakeholders to design scalable solutions that meet business requirements and can be easily maintained
  • Document and maintain functional business requirements, process flows and business use cases.
