Opportunity IMG seeks a ServiceNow Software Developer for a role supporting our customer in Washington, DC. The role is Hybrid, with a minimum of three days a week onsite. The ServiceNow Application Developer will assess legacy applications and lead migration to the ServiceNow application platform. They will manage full software development lifecycle tasks—from planning and development through testing, documentation, and deployment—while ensuring compliance with DISA STIG requirements and modern database standards.

  • Review requirements and existing functionality of legacy applications (programmed in Visual Basic for Applications, VB.NET, ColdFusion, DBXL, etc.)
  • Develop migration plan to recapitalize using the ServiceNow application Platform
  • Execute transition and support user acceptance testing
  • Improve existing end user documentation or write new documentation as needed for migrated applications
  • Review DISA requirements for database hardening (STIG/SRG)
  • Evaluate current database posture and ServiceNow platform operational requirements
  • Create a plan to close gaps or document deviations
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in full software development life-cycle; to include requirements development, design, coding, testing, documentation (within the programming environment and for end users), operation, and maintenance
  • Experience in MySQL database operations / management and DISA STIG configurations, preferably within a Linux environment (RedHat Enterprise Linux or equivalent)
  • Experience in JavaScript/ECMAScript, Angular, React, and Bootstrap; experience using these technologies within the ServiceNow application platform is a plus
  • Experience in using C# and Visual Studio Tools for Office to interface with web-based REST APIs
  • Experience performing the above with limited management oversight, independently and/or as part of a small team
  • Active DOD Top Secret or DOE Q required
