About The Position

Job Summary: The Powersports Service Writer serves as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring a seamless and efficient service experience. This role involves assisting customers with inquiries, documenting vehicle concerns, coordinating service needs, and maintaining clear communication throughout the repair process. The Service Writer plays a crucial role in customer satisfaction by providing expert guidance, offering service recommendations, and ensuring the timely completion of all service requests. Key Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service and maintain positive relationships Support daily service operations and communicate with the Service Manager Create and complete Repair Orders (ROs) accurately, including necessary documentation Check for machine recalls and conduct vehicle walk-arounds during check-in/out Keep customers informed on service status and schedule appointments Verify post-service test drives and ensure vehicles are cleaned before pickup Process payments, review service quality, and confirm warranty applicability Conduct follow-up calls for customer satisfaction and feedback Assist with marketing, shop scheduling, and operational efficiency Stay up to date with training and brand-specific service requirements

Requirements

  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Experience with Lightspeed or similar point-of-sale software, or the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Understanding of warranty policies and procedures
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Experience operating both manual and automatic vehicles

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Powersports brands such as Polaris, Indian, BRP, and Yamaha is a plus

Responsibilities
