Responsibilities include operating hand tools and light equipment, handling materials, performing minor repairs, landscaping duties, and maintaining clean work areas. Work is typically performed under close supervision with clear instructions, with increasing responsibility as experience is gained. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to follow directions, and the capability to work in various environmental conditions while completing routine reports and supporting team operations. Employees in this class perform a wide variety of manual labor. As work experience is gained, employees may be assigned to work of more than ordinary difficulty. Work is usually closely supervised, and the employee receives specific work instructions at the beginning of each new assignment. Constant supervision is not necessary for routine or repetitive tasks.
