About the position
The South Monterey County Joint Union High School District is seeking applications for a position that requires a combination of education and experience in building or construction trades or general maintenance. The role may involve responsibilities related to school bus driving, although this is preferred rather than required.
Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repair work in building or construction trades.
- Drive a school bus as needed, ensuring the safety of students.
- Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all driving regulations.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
- 2 years of apprentice or journey-level experience in building or construction trades, or 2 years of general maintenance experience.
- Six months experience as a school bus driver or equivalent preferred.
- Current Driver's License issued by the California DMV.
- Ability to obtain a Class A or B license with a Passenger Endorsement within six months.
- Obtain a School Bus Certificate issued by the California DMV.
- Current First Aid certificate issued by the Red Cross.
- Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate issued by the Red Cross.
- Department of Transportation Medical Certificate (DL-51).
- Clean driving record and Department of Justice fingerprint clearance at the CHP.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in school bus driving.
