Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair work in building or construction trades.
  • Drive a school bus as needed, ensuring the safety of students.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all driving regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is desirable.
  • 2 years of apprentice or journey-level experience in building or construction trades, or 2 years of general maintenance experience.
  • Six months experience as a school bus driver or equivalent preferred.
  • Current Driver's License issued by the California DMV.
  • Ability to obtain a Class A or B license with a Passenger Endorsement within six months.
  • Obtain a School Bus Certificate issued by the California DMV.
  • Current First Aid certificate issued by the Red Cross.
  • Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate issued by the Red Cross.
  • Department of Transportation Medical Certificate (DL-51).
  • Clean driving record and Department of Justice fingerprint clearance at the CHP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in school bus driving.
