The Transportation Coordinator will establish, implement, and maintain organizational trade and regulatory compliance policy, procedures and training for service instruments and spare parts. This position will be responsible for coordination of domestic and/or international equipment movement and transport resources to manage deliveries in peak periods. Be responsible for management of the export process and transactions through customs clearance and delivery to include restricted articles, ensure timely, accurate, and compliant completion of export information and documentation. Location: This is an on-site position based out of our Kalamazoo, MI facility.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience leading projects, initiatives, or teams in a business, technical, or operational environment
  • Experience supporting or working with cross-functional teams across business units such as operations, IT, quality, or supply chain
  • Experience supporting or documenting business processes and how systems or technology are used to support those processes
  • Experience communicating information to stakeholders, employees, or external partners through meetings, presentations, written communication, or project documentation
  • Experience working in project-based environments with multiple priorities, deadlines, or stakeholders
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving operational, technical, or process-related issues
  • Experience coordinating between technical teams and business stakeholders to support project execution or system implementation
  • Experience working independently on assigned tasks, projects, or deliverables with limited supervision
  • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and PowerPoint, for reporting, analysis, or presentations

Responsibilities

  • Serves as a systems super-user assisting the business and helping with ongoing SAP support, serving as a “first line of defense” for ongoing functional/technical or process issues. This could include troubleshooting production issues, providing resolutions and conducting root cause analysis for EWM module. For any expansion, continuous improvement, and other changes, this role would act as the liaison between the warehouse and the project leadership, bringing forth any site-specific requirements and participating in continued support activities.
  • Cross-trains on all processes and functionality across the warehouse team to include Inbound/Outbound shipments, RMA’s, Quality inspections, Re-work/Re-stock parts, Inventory reconciliations.
  • Manage new deliveries and create shipments for instrument orders, which includes coordinating carriers and updating freight and ship completes.
  • Manage and escalate back ordered items, utilizing the system back order report.
  • Maintain safety stock levels of part/accessory inventory and create Purchase Requisitions.
  • Correct and escalate with urgency any queue issues, route issues, carrier issues, mis-shipments.
  • Drive RMA compliance and warranty requests/scrap requests to our factories.
  • Utilize shipping software and weight meters to prepare, track, and properly invoice merchandise to customers.
  • Be a subject matter expert in all processes within the service warehouse area.
  • Provide training and/or guidance to other Service warehouse & parts personnel.
  • Support the development or revision of guidelines and work instructions.
  • Provide feedback to team members to help improve their processes.
  • May accurately perform Cycle Counts.
  • Interact with internal customers to help with shipping solutions.
