The Service Technician (Boat Mechanic) is a skilled and experienced role within our organization, responsible for performing mechanical repair and maintenance on boats and marine equipment. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our watercraft.

  • Conduct mechanical repair work on various types of boats and marine equipment, including diagnosing and addressing issues with engines, propulsion systems, electrical components, and accessories.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and troubleshoot mechanical problems accurately.
  • Replace and install boat components, including engines, transmissions, steering systems, and other critical mechanical parts.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubrication, filter replacements, and system checks, to ensure the continued operation of watercraft.
  • Conduct quality checks to ensure all repairs meet or exceed industry standards and safety requirements for boats.
  • Maintain accurate records of all repair work, including parts used, labor hours, and maintenance schedules.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment for boat maintenance.
  • Interact with boat owners, providing updates on repair progress, explaining repair recommendations, and addressing inquiries.
  • Maintain an organized inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, and order supplies as needed to support boat repair and maintenance.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Technical certification in boat mechanical repair preferred).
  • Proven experience in boat mechanical repair, with a strong understanding of boat systems and components.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment specific to boat maintenance.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot and repair boat mechanical issues.
  • Effective communication skills and customer service orientation.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality work.
