As a Field Service Technician, you’ll own the full life cycle of customer accounts, from machine maintenance and troubleshooting to inventory support and performance tracking. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED (or higher).
  • 2+ years of experience in refractory installation, steel mill, or foundry environments preferred.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude—essential for working with robotic equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and contribute to team goals.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with heavy industrial environments and safety standards.
  • A forward-thinking, hands-on mindset with a drive for continuous improvement.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of experience in refractory installation, steel mill, or foundry environments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on RHI Magnesita machines.
  • Support inventory management and ensure timely, accurate tracking of RHIM and competitor product performance.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for product performance, installation support, and service needs.
  • Communicate daily with your supervisor about customer developments, product feedback, and improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in product trials and document results, including pre- and post-trial reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and PPE requirements at customer sites.
  • Respond to urgent or after-hours customer needs with professionalism and urgency.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to support seamless service delivery and operational excellence.
