About The Position

The Service Technician performs routine diagnostics and repairs on major appliances in the field.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of relevant experience.
• High School Diploma OR G.E.D. Equivalent.
• Ability to troubleshoot and actively identify operational malfunctions independently.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work in fast-paced environment.
• Self-motivated and demonstrated attention to detail.
• Proficient in use of diagnostic equipment technology.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Prescreening of customer inquiries submitted by Customer Service Representative in order to identify if service is eligible.
• Identify functional failure of appliance through effective diagnosis testing.
• Advising Parts Manager on specific appliance part required once diagnosis testing completed successfully.
• Responsible for the replacement of appliance parts in safe and correct manner.
• Coordinate additional repair assistance with manufacturers, if necessary.
• Providing customer timely updates on the repair process.
• Documenting all necessary steps of repair process, from time the requisition was received to when service finalized.
• Any and all other duties as assigned by manager.
