About The Position

As an Apprentice Service Technician, you will learn from the best in the industry. Our team will train you on everything you need to know to thrive in your very own market. No previous experience with garage doors required, we got you! The Job: Travel to various service calls to meet customers in their residence and advise on repair, maintenance or purchase of a new door. Assemble mechanical components or machine parts. Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance. Order replacement parts. Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools. Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair. Remove parts or components from equipment. Install hardware or other interior fixtures. Run wiring to connect equipment. Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning. Test mechanical equipment to ensure its functioning properly. Document operational activities Collect payments for goods or services

Requirements

  • Be nice!
  • Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periods
  • Physically able to lift 75lbs
  • Valid driver’s license for at least 3 years with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (not including THC) and criminal background check
  • Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc as well as tablet and computer use.
  • Basic knowledge of hand tools
  • GED or HS diploma not required, however reading skills as well as basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required.
  • Professional appearance
  • Employment requires current eligibility to legally work in the United States
