About The Position

Responsibilities As a Service Technician, you will: Troubleshoot and repair automatic door systems while delivering exceptional customer service. Perform scheduled maintenance on a variety of door equipment, including automatic doors, entrance doors, handles, and closers. Diagnose faulty equipment and determine the cause of malfunctions. Collaborate with the dispatch team to optimize scheduling and maximize efficiency. Ensure safe use of tools and equipment in compliance with OSHA standards. Complete work orders using computer-based systems. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to ensure satisfaction. Travel throughout your assigned coverage area and drive safely between job sites. Support safety initiatives and comply with all safety policies and procedures. Qualifications Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. 2–8 years in the automatic door industry preferred Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; troubleshooting experience. Valid driver’s license required AAADM certification preferred (ANSI 156.10 and 156.19 standards). Ability to read and interpret technical documents, perform basic math, and use a tape measure. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 150 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Must be capable of working at heights to service doors and operators using ladders WORK ENVIRONMENT The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee works in many different environments including hospitals, pharmaceuticals facilities, business offices and retail locations and is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude; troubleshooting experience.

Nice To Haves
