Service Technicians work 10-hour shifts, four days per week, Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday. Starting salary is $25.36 per hour. As a Service Technician at CATA, you'll inspect vehicles for safety and operational integrity. Expect to perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and execute repairs on a diverse fleet. You'll work closely with experienced team members, learning to utilize diagnostic equipment effectively to identify problems quickly. Daily responsibilities also include maintaining accurate records of repairs and services performed to ensure compliance with safety regulations. You'll participate in scheduled meetings to discuss ongoing projects and share insights on improving service efficiency. Adaptability is key, as priorities may shift based on fleet demands and urgent repairs, making every day a unique opportunity for growth and contribution. Are you a good fit for Service Technician? To succeed as a Service Technician, you will need a strong foundation in mechanical knowledge and problem-solving skills. Experience changing and repairing all sizes and types of tires is necessary, as is an understanding of fuel dispensing equipment to include CNG, diesel, and gas. Excellent communication skills are necessary for collaborating with team members and communicating effectively with management regarding vehicle issues. Time management skills are essential to prioritize tasks efficiently, ensuring all vehicles are serviced promptly. Finally, a commitment to safety protocols and a willingness to contribute to a positive team culture will set you up for success as a Service Technician. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. Position requires possession of, or the ability to obtain, Class A CDL with passenger endorsement, PA State Inspection License (S7) and 609 AC certification. CATA provides CDL training and assistance for inspection license and AC certification.
