What You’ll Do As a Class B Service Technician, you will perform automotive repairs and maintenance with efficiency, accuracy, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. You will work closely with service team members and leadership to help deliver an exceptional customer experience and keep our shop operating at a high level.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of automotive technician experience preferred
  • Strong diagnostic and repair ability
  • Excellent attention to detail and a strong sense of urgency
  • Professional communication skills and a team-first mindset
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and ongoing technical development

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to perform repairs with limited to no supervision in areas such as:
  • Lube and maintenance services
  • Engine repair
  • Suspension and steering
  • Brake repair
  • Electrical and electrical systems
  • Heating and A/C repair
  • Engine drivability diagnosis and repair preferred
  • Manufacturer training/certification in listed areas preferred
  • Minimum of 3 ASE certifications preferred
  • ASE Master Technician background strongly valued
  • Proven customer pay proficiency preferred

Responsibilities

  • Perform work outlined on repair orders in accordance with dealership and manufacturer standards
  • Diagnose the cause of vehicle malfunctions and complete repairs accurately
  • Road test vehicles as needed to confirm quality of repair
  • Document work performed, test procedures, and results on repair orders
  • Accurately track labor time using company timekeeping procedures
  • Complete repairs according to all applicable safety requirements
  • Maintain personal tool inventory needed to perform assigned work
  • Return special tools to their proper place after use
  • Use shop materials and supplies in a practical, efficient manner
  • Keep your work area clean, organized, and professional each day
  • Help ensure each customer vehicle is returned in clean condition
  • Complete all required training and stay current on manufacturer standards
  • Review technical bulletins and service publications as assigned
  • Communicate constructively with team members and leadership to support customer satisfaction
  • Report any condition that may affect the safety, welfare, or integrity of the dealership, team, or customers
