About The Position

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is one of the largest commercial kitchen equipment repair service companies in the Southeast, comprised of over 600 employees located across 31 geographically dispersed locations. The company is hiring immediately for a Service Technician, offering a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. The role involves diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking kitchen equipment, refrigeration, or HVAC systems, communicating with customers and the branch office, managing parts orders and truck stock, and maintaining company standards for vehicles, tools, and uniforms. Technicians are expected to meet on-call requirements and travel extensively to work sites.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
1 Year of applicable experience in at least one skill set: commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or commercial HVAC.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and soft skills.
Good driving record.

Nice To Haves

Automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
Journeyman License
CFESA certification

Responsibilities

Properly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking kitchen equipment, refrigeration, or HVAC.
Communicates repair status updates with customer and branch office.
Communicate parts order(s) with branch.
Completes service calls accurately and in a timely manner.
Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms consistent with Whaley standards and safety first.
Meet on-call requirements.
