About The Position

Rapids Wholesale & Affiliates; STAR Division is seeking a skilled, hands-on Service Technician to join our Star Service team. This role is essential in supporting our customers by ensuring their commercial foodservice equipment operates safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. As a Service Technician, you will use your technical expertise to install, maintain, and repair a variety of commercial kitchen equipment while providing exceptional service at customer sites. The ideal candidate is experienced, self-driven, customer-focused, and comfortable working independently in the field. In this role, you will handle service calls, diagnose equipment issues, perform installations, and complete preventative maintenance. You’ll represent our team on-site with customers, communicate clearly about recommended repairs, and maintain accurate documentation through our service software. This position requires strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, gas, steam, and refrigeration systems, along with a commitment to safety and professionalism. We are specifically seeking an experienced technician with a background in commercial foodservice equipment repair. A strong mechanical aptitude, problem-solving mindset, and ability to read technical manuals/schematics are essential for success. Technical training, EPA or CFESA certification, and field service experience are highly valued. Candidates must have a valid driver’s license, the ability to perform physical work, and confidence working independently in a fast-paced service environment.
