Kilowatt is committed to keeping homes comfortable, safe, and energy-efficient year-round. Position Overview: Kilowatt HVAC is seeking a skilled and motivated Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, identifying opportunities for system improvements or replacements, and presenting solutions to customers. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality service while building customer trust and contributing to company sales through recommended services and upgrades, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Valid HVAC certification and EPA Section 608 Certification.
  • Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
  • 5+ years experience as an HVAC residential service technician.
  • Must have a valid driver license and clean driving history.
  • Able to pass a background and drug screening
  • Ability to work independently in a timely manner, making sure job is done correctly the first time.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills.
  • Must have good oral and written communications skills.
  • Observe all company procedures and safety rules.
  • Work as part of our team to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have basic computer skills and be able to utilize mobile device throughout the work day.

Nice To Haves

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in residential and light commercial HVAC service.
  • Familiarity with modern HVAC control systems and diagnostics tools.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift and handle equipment safely.
  • Familiar with Service Titan.

Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and repair HVAC systems in residential and light commercial settings.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
  • Follow safety guidelines and local codes at all times.
  • Document service calls, repairs, and maintenance accurately.
  • Assist team members and support smooth workflow.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly with customers.
  • Identify opportunities to recommend and sell HVAC system replacements, upgrades, and additional services to meet customer needs.
