About The Position

Hog Slat, Inc., the world’s leading provider of parts, equipment and turn-key construction to the swine & poultry industries is seeking a Service Technician with excellent customer service skills and experience in electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems to join the team at our Columbus, NE location.

Requirements

• Ability to use tools associated with the repair of electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems
• Approved safe driving record
• Familiarity with the swine/poultry industries and the pork/poultry producers in the area
• Knowledge of parts and equipment used in modern hog facilities
• At least 2 years of prior experience repairing and replacing electrical and mechanical equipment

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience working with the systems found in modern swine facilities (eg. ventilation, feeding/watering, heating…) is preferred

Responsibilities

• Work with Hog Slat customers to understand their repair needs
• Give customers recommendations on the best parts & equipment available at Hog Slat with which their needs can be addressed
• Repair/replace faulty parts & equipment in area swine and poultry facilities
• Properly bill customers for service work hours
• Work with the Hog Slat in-store team to manage warranty claims
• Take advantage of training opportunities offered by Hog Slat, Inc. and by it’s vendors
