About The Position

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is one of the largest commercial kitchen equipment repair service companies in the Southeast, with over 600 employees across 31 locations. They are currently hiring immediately for Service Technicians and offer a sign-on bonus for qualified candidates. The position involves properly diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial cooking kitchen equipment, refrigeration, or HVAC systems. Responsibilities also include communicating repair status and parts orders with customers and the branch office, completing service calls accurately and timely, auditing truck stock, and maintaining the service vehicle, tools, and uniforms according to Whaley standards and safety protocols. The role requires meeting on-call requirements.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standards.
Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
1 Year of applicable experience in at least one skill set: commercial cooking equipment, commercial refrigeration, or commercial HVAC.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot.
Strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and soft skills.
Good driving record.

Nice To Haves

Automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background.
Journeyman License.
CFESA certification.

Responsibilities

Properly diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking kitchen equipment, refrigeration, or HVAC.
Communicates repair status updates with customer and branch office.
Communicate parts order(s) with branch.
Completes service calls accurately and in a timely manner.
Audits truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
Maintain service vehicle, tools, and uniforms consistent with Whaley standards and safety first.
Meet on-call requirements.
