About The Position

The Technician is responsible for inspecting vehicles, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs and part replacements, and carrying out routine maintenance procedures to ensure the longevity of the automobiles. They will utilize diagnostic tools and follow manufacturer standards to identify and fix problems with engines, transmissions, brakes, steering, suspension, and more. Requirements

Minimum 2 years of auto mechanical experience.
Goal oriented with the desire to complete tasks correctly the first time.
Professional attitude and capable of talking with customers.
Ability to perform all required functions of this position.
Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance.
Must possess a valid IL driver’s license with an an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

ASE Certifications are preferred.
Manufacturer or technical training is preferred.

Responsibilities

Determine cause of malfunction through the use of test equipment, test drives, service bulletin information, and information supplied by customers.
Review vehicle history files, perform repairs and provide service advisors with accurate information for repair cost, parts needed, and repair time.
Document all work performed and applicable technical information.
Maintain regular attendance at shop meetings and training.

Benefits

The compensation for the Service Technician begins at $45,000.00 a year and depends upon experience. Tiered hourly pay based on hours turned.
