About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lighting Service Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair interior and exterior lighting systems. The ideal candidate has strong electrical knowledge, a safety-first mindset, and the ability to deliver high-quality service to commercial clients.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent (technical or trade school preferred).
2+ years of experience in lighting or electrical service (preferred).
Strong understanding of electrical systems and lighting controls.
Ability to troubleshoot efficiently and work independently.
Valid driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work at heights.
Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
50% possible travel required using company vehicle.

Nice To Haves

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain lighting systems including LED, fluorescent, HID, and control systems.
Perform service calls for lighting outages, ballast/driver failures, wiring issues, and control malfunctions.
Install new lighting fixtures, lamps, drivers, ballasts, sensors, and lighting controls.
Conduct preventative maintenance inspections to ensure system reliability and efficiency.
Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
Safely operate lifts, ladders, and other equipment.
Ensure compliance with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
Communicate clearly with customers regarding repairs, recommendations, and timelines.
Complete service reports, work orders, and documentation accurately.
Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicle in good working condition.
Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions.
Evening or weekend work may be required for certain service calls.
