About The Position

A TDX Service & Repair Technician plays a vital role in enhancing customer satisfaction and driving company growth through referrals by providing high-quality service, repair, and small installation work for seawalls, docks, and boat lifts. This role balances proactive and reactive service calls, installs for smaller scale projects, and dock accessory sales while incentivizing developing long-term customer relationships through sales of our annual maintenance plans, obtaining five-star service ratings, and referring customers to our dedicated sales team for larger projects.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales, preferably within the marine construction, in-home services, or related industries
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively present solutions and alternatives
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships, and providing outstanding customer service and follow-through
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, goal oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market dynamics
  • Active, valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel to meet with clients and attend industry events as required
  • Ability to pass examination to comply with our drug-free workplace policy
  • Coachability and willingness to learn and adapt
  • Proficient in basic technology and computer skills/software, such as Microsoft products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Salesforce or equivalent cloud-based CRM systems and services, touch screens, and DocuSign or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of marine construction products, services, and project requirements
  • Familiarity with GIS mapping software
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Responsibilities

  • Perform reactive service calls and small repairs on docks, seawalls, and boat lifts
  • Conduct proactive maintenance to identify issues early and minimize costly future repairs
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, mechanical, and structural issues on boat lifts and docks
  • Install small-scale boat lifts and ensure proper operation, safety compliance, and customer training
  • Serve as a frontline company representative, building customer trust and long-term loyalty
  • Educate customers and close sales on the benefits of annual maintenance plan
  • Identify & close upsell opportunities during inspection: promote, and install dock accessories such as fish cleaning stations, bumpers, cleats, mooring whips, lighting, power pedestals, and dock boxes
  • Provide referrals to the sales team for large-scale projects such as seawall replacements, new dock construction, or major lift installations
  • Drive five-star social platform ratings and referrals by providing an exceptional service experience
  • Document all sales and service activities, repairs, and recommendations in our CRM and company reporting for follow-up and tracking against targets
  • Complete walk-throughs and process change orders and payments on-site
  • Actively participate in weekly service meetings, training, and results review
