About The Position

Custom Truck One Source (CTOS) Humble, TX Rebuilding America Starts Here:   Custom Truck One Source “CTOS” Cabot offers utility and pipeline equipment, including aerial devices, digger derricks, material handlers, pole trailers, and more. Our clients include some of the largest utilities, telecom, construction, forestry, oil, and rail companies in the nation Summary: Primary responsibility is to perform vehicle troubleshooting, repair and maintenance work on chassis and track mounted aerials, digger derricks, cranes, high rail, and other equipment, in accordance with dealer and factory standards, in the field. PMs, maintenance and repair on truck-mounted utility equipment such as Boom, Bucket, Diggers, Dump, Service, Forestry and aerial cranes and other truck mounted equipment. Technicians work on truck chassis, diesel, hydraulics, diagnostics, electrical etc. Monday to Friday, Day - shift, with overtime as needed, limited Saturdays. Must hold a valid driver’s license and mechanics tools. Requirements

  • Experience with diesel, medium or heavy truck, or related equipment. (construction, farm, military)
  • General mechanical aptitude / knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, construction, farm, or truck
  • Basic Computer skills and ability to document repair activity.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • You must hold a valid driver’s license.
  • You must have your own tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Electrical, schematic / blueprints, hydraulic, welding, and related experience
  • Experience with Quick Serve, DTNA, or related diagnostic software.
  • DOT, ANSI, and Dielectric testing desired

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged / worn parts on a variety of vocational / utility trucks & equipment.
  • Provide repair and maintenance to medium / heavy duty trucks, and background in hydraulics and electrical is a plus.
  • Assess, diagnose, repair and/or replace damaged or worn parts for variety of manufacturers of utility equipment to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of parts, services and labor to track costs so vehicles can be properly priced and reflect the value of quality offered by the company.
  • Submit all work/repair orders as required to a supervisor for approval to ensure budgets are maintained and costs of vehicle repairs accurately reflected.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with best practices for a safe work environment.
  • Attend monthly safety meetings held by Custom Truck One Source.
  • Other duties as assigned.
