The Service technician will troubleshoot/diagnose equipment problem and perform repair work on a wide variety of equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Maintain and repair heavy diesel, gas and electrically operated construction equipment. Repair types can range from complete machine overhauls to minor repairs such as fixing leaks, changing fluids and filters. Diagnosing operational difficulties; disassemble and reassemble equipment, replacing defective parts. Diagnostics can include checking pressures, voltage and flow to identify the source(s) of equipment problems. Work independently or with senior technicians to rebuild components such as engines, transmissions, hydraulic cylinders and hydraulic pumps. Prepare parts requisitions and enter requisitions into the Company’s computer system. Must be capable of performing heating, brazing, soldering, burning and minor welding not requiring certified welding skills. Technician will use Anderson’s systems to document work orders, track progress of repairs and order parts. Focus on safety protocols and regulations must be maintained at all times.
